Having a gigantic Christmas music geek out atm.  Trying to think of all the "traditional" Christmas songs I might have, and listening to some of my favorites.  Being a choir geek, I tend to like choral arrangements *shock*.  But my favorite Christmas song has to be God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen by Sarah McLachlan with Bare Naked Ladies.  And of course there's Christmas Eve (Sarajevo 12/24) by Trans-Siberian Orchestra.  But really, when you want to get in the Christmas mood, is there anything better than the old traditional carols?  Here's what I've dug up so far, am I missing any?

Rmeister and I went to see Quantum of Solace last night.  It was pretty good, and I'm loving Daniel Craig as Bond.  I don't find him particularly attractive, but he's very believable, and he fills out a suit well :D 

One of the trailers before the movie was for a new Star Trek movie.  It actually looks good, in a very non-Trekish sort of way.  But the interesting part, to me, is the cast.  Zachary Quinto (Sylar from Heroes) as Spock, Simon Pegg as Scotty O.O  And Karl Urban (Reaper from Doom, Caesar from Xena, etc) as Dr. McCoy.  If nothing else, I'm looking forward to this movie to see this cast!

Joe Kudla, known and loved as "Snot" to those who visited the MN Renaissance Festival, passed away suddenly on Monday, Aug 11th.  Cause of death isn't known yet but "it was probably a heart attack" according to the blog of his partner in comedy, Mark Sieve aka "Puke".  It's been years since I saw their act, but it was always one of the highlights of the MNRF for me.  It won't be the same without the two of them.

Here's my version of a little wall art project that I discovered at a blog that I've fallen in love with: simplemom.com
Cost of project, about $5, including hanging tabs.  Overall I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.  The colors are a little more vivid than what you can see in the picture.  And yes, my bedroom is green, which should surprise no one who knows me :P  And it's given me ideas for another project, a fish picture for Alex's room.
